Global Transport Leader
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives to enhance global transportation operations. You will develop and implement transportation strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
* You define and execute a comprehensive global transportation strategy that ensures timely, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of goods worldwide.
* You oversee all transportation modes (road, rail, sea, air) to ensure seamless collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
* You establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for global shipping, ensuring consistency and reliability across all regions.
* You ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and environmental laws, and develop risk mitigation strategies to handle potential disruptions.
* You drive the adoption of advanced transportation technologies and use data analytics to track performance, optimize routes, and support decision-making.
* You build and manage a high-performing global transportation team, fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
* You build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure strong collaboration and service quality.
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
* More than 10 years of experience in global transportation or logistics, with a proven track record of managing international supply chains and delivering operational improvements.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and develop a transportation team from scratch while driving alignment across stakeholders.
* Proficient in transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics technologies, leveraging data to enhance operational performance.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling effective engagement with carriers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Fluent in German and English, ensuring clear communication in international and local contexts.
* Thorough understanding of international trade policies, Incoterms, and emerging technologies that improve transportation processes.
