Summary: This is a unique opportunity to join the newly formed European Chemical Investment Banking team, which presents a great deal of scope for career development and growth. The team complements and works very closely with the established Raymond James Chemical Banking team in the US.
We are looking for a self‑starting, proactive and ambitious individual who is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team. Flexibility and a business‑oriented approach are essential.
Under administrative direction, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to work with a variety of financial products, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory. The Senior Analyst/Associate will contribute and generate ideas during the entire transaction process, working independently on difficult assignments that require originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for un‑reviewed actions or decisions. Leads large multiple projects with significant scope and impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 * Develop financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives for transactions.
 * Perform valuation methodologies including comparable company analysis and discounted cash flow analysis on target companies.
 * Provide valuable input to equity offerings, valuations, private placements, mergers and acquisitions advisories.
 * Research, analyze, present and document drafting elements of a developing transaction.
 * Participate in client meetings and calls.
 * Follow general current events in respective industry groups and keep bankers informed about critical issues in the news relevant to current and potential clients.
 * Maintain files related to active and prospective deals.
 * Maintain group databases – Deal Database and Weekly Status Reports.
 * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 * Fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Investment Banking.
 * Fundamental investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.

Education/Previous Experience
 * Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in related fields. Candidates with Bachelor’s or higher Degrees in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering are encouraged to apply.
 * Minimum of 2 years M&A experience.
 * Fluency in English and German is required. Additional languages could be advantageous.
