Position Overview:
This role reports to the global CCO/CTO and the General Manager of our European site. The primary focus is creating new business opportunities across Europe.
Your Responsibilities include:
* Creating and implementing a proactive growth strategy to generate new business opportunities for CDMO services, aiming to meet revenue goals.
* Engaging in high-level business development activities, including meetings with potential clients, presenting capabilities, negotiating contracts, and managing proposals for new projects.
* Developing an understanding of customer needs, competitors, and market trends, and collaborating with regional business development teams.
* Setting and executing short- and long-term operational, strategic, and marketing objectives aligned with global leadership.
* Managing trade show participation, advertising, and promotional efforts.
* Understanding client products in the life sciences to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
* Building and maintaining strong industry relationships to facilitate discussions on new opportunities.
* Collaborating closely with the global executive team, local account/project management, and operations teams.
Your Profile:
* University degree in a relevant field; a PhD or MBA is a plus.
* Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical/medical product development or business development, with a solid understanding of the CDMO business in pharma.
* Experience negotiating and closing deals in the pharmaceutical industry and GMP manufacturing, with knowledge of Cell Therapy or Biologics being advantageous.
* A proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing relationships with senior-level contacts in pharma and biotech.
* Proficiency in leading complex, cross-functional projects.
* Demonstrated leadership at all organizational levels.
* Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
