We are looking for an Application Engineer to technically support the integration of our high-temperature heat pump systems into industrial production environments. In this role, you will act as the technical interface between customers, sales, and internal engineering teams, supporting projects from initial inquiry through to successful handover.
The position is based in Overath with a hybrid working model requiring regular on-site collaboration.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
* Technical consulting for new and existing customers on implementing high-temperature heat pumps in industrial production environments
* System design and technical configuration of customer-specific solutions
* Calculation and preparation of technical quotations based on system design
* Supporting projects from initial inquiry through to successful completion
* Detailing technical integration aspects together with the customer and handing over to the project team after contract conclusion
* Expanding and improving internal calculation and software tools for heat pump design (including programming aspects)
* Close cooperation with product development, marketing, and service teams to optimize customer solutions
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable qualification
* Strong technical understanding of heat pump technologies and refrigeration systems, ideally with exposure to industrial process heat
* Ability and interest to quickly understand customer production processes and technical requirements
* Very good German and English language skills
* Strong intrinsic motivation, curiosity, and willingness to continuously develop expertise
* Desire to make a tangible impact in industrial decarbonization
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
* Initial experience in software programming (e.g. Python, Modelica, MATLAB)
* Experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or refrigeration technology
* Applications from committed graduates (m/f/d) with strong academic focus in relevant subjects are welcome
