Summary
The Engineering Head leads the Site Engineering organization, responsible for executing large and baseload projects, establishing, maintaining, and improving engineering processes related to buildings, equipment, utilities, and energy. Oversight includes commissioning, qualification, calibration, maintenance of equipment, and capital portfolio management.
About The Role
Major accountabilities:
1. Deliver Germany establishment project on time, within budget, and scope.
2. Execute project management and partnering strategies, coordinate workforce and vendors.
3. Build engineering teams for the site.
4. Foster a culture of accountability based on inspired, curious, unbossed principles.
5. Participate in site leadership, develop a 5-year Site Master Plan.
6. Recruit, train, and develop team members with a robust succession plan.
7. Lead teams for site readiness for commercial launch, including commissioning and qualification.
8. Collaborate with quality and production leaders on batch disposition and investigations.
9. Utilize incident management and risk analyses to improve quality, safety, and environmental performance.
10. Implement a Computerized Maintenance Management System for equipment maintenance.
11. Manage capital investment budget and project portfolio post-operations.
Essential Requirements
* BSc in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years of engineering experience in cGMP manufacturing, sterile drug product.
* Leadership experience in GMP plant engineering, including facility design with Lean principles.
* Knowledge of engineering standards in pharmaceutical facilities and equipment, construction project management.
* Fluent in English and German.
Desirable Requirements
* Training in radiochemistry or radiopharmacy.
Possible locations: Halle, Dresden, Leipzig.
