The Secure Software Engineering research department researches and develops innovative solutions for the automatic identification of malware, vulnerabilities and exploits in software components. As a team, we have already developed and marketed various tools.
To support our team, we are now looking for a student assistant in the field of Windows Binary Fuzzing. IT security knowledge is not necessarily required.
What you will do
* Evaluation of existing binary fuzzers on Windows binaries
* Expanding program corpora for further evaluation of Windows binary fuzzers
* Potentially co-develop a dynamic program analysis tool
What you bring to the table
* Computer science degree and programming skills in C and C++ (please provide current transcript of records!)
* Knowledge of x86-64 assembler
* Experience with/interest in debugger-supported analysis of binaries without debug information
* Knowledge of Windows Internals or willingness to familiarize yourself with Windows Internals
* Interest in fuzzing
* Ability to work independently and interest in learning new things

The weekly working time is 10-20 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
