Senior Finance Manager

We are partnering with an exciting, PE-backed technology business looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join their growing team. The business is in a strong growth and transformation phase, evolving its financial infrastructure to support scale, efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
This is a unique opportunity to sit at the heart of that journey, and for a finance professional to step into a broad, hands-on leadership role and take full ownership of building a modern finance function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
* Building and implementing the full finance function (Accounting, Reporting, AP/AR, Payroll, Cash Management)
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements (HGB, VAT, payroll tax)
* Preparing statutory financial statements, as well as budgets, forecasts, and management reporting packs
* Leading the introduction and ongoing optimisation of ERP systems and wider finance processes
* Establishing, developing, and leading a small finance team
* Acting as a trusted business partner to senior leadership on both strategic and operational finance matters
* Driving process improvements and strengthening internal controls across the organisation
Ideal Candidate
* Background in Audit / Assurance, with relevant post-qualified experience
* Strong technical knowledge of HGB, IFRS, and financial reporting standards
* Experience with internal controls, process design, and implementation in a structured environment
* A proactive, hands-on mindset with a genuine desire to build and take ownership rather than advise from the outside
* Strong communication skills and confidence in working directly with senior stakeholders
* Fluent in both German and English
