Mercedes-Benz AG is the world's most valuable brand for luxury passenger cars. We focus on the development, production and sales of passenger cars, vans and vehicle-related services. Furthermore, the company aspires to be the leader in the fields of electric mobility and vehicle software.
Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD) has persistently been pioneering the automotive technology of the future. Highest quality, most innovative products and most efficient development processes are our day-to-day claim. We are already working today on vehicles that will secure the technological leadership of Mercedes-Benz in the future. One of the most important factors contributing to this leadership aspiration is agile vehicle software development at the heart of the new Mercedes-Benz operating system: MB.OS

2. Design prompt engineering strategies to classify, prioritize, and explain violations using an LLM
3. Prototype an LLM-based assistant that:Summarize large MISRA violation reportsSuggests compliant fixes or structured deviation justificationsGenerates audit-ready summaries for ISO evidence
4. Integrate the prototype into a simple CI/CD workflow (e.g., GitLab plugin, or Python pipeline)
5. Document results for both technical thesis and potential internal PoC presentation
Qualifikationen
6. Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or related fields

10. Basic knowledge of static code analysis tools (any exposure to QAC, Coverity, or Polyspace is an advantage)
11. Interest in automotive software development and functional safety (ISO )
12. Ability to work independently on research-oriented problems
13. Language: English C1, German is a bonus
Good to Have
14. Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture
15. Understanding of software quality and compliance workflows
16. Previous experience with ML/AI research projects
Learning Outcomes
17. Hands-on experience in applying LLMs to real industrial challenges
18. Exposure to automotive safety standards (ISO, MISRA C)
19. Experience in toolchain integration (CI/CD, Jira/Polarion links, reporting)
20. Publication-ready research work (can be used for thesis / academic papers)
