From 1 October 2026. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 2 years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.
Your tasks:
* collaboration in research and teaching
* providing students with subject-related expertise and instruction on applying scientific methods conducting independent research
* contributing to the administration of the working group
* maintaining the infrastructure of the working group
Our expectations:
* A doctoral degree (PhD or Dr. rer. nat.) in the field of chemistry is required.
* Good command of written and spoken English is expected.
* We also expect substantiated knowledge of
* organic chemistry and radical chemistry,
* standard analytical methods (e.g. NMR, UV-vis, IR),
* standard laboratory techniques (e.g. working under inert gas),
* the independent processing of a methodological research project, and
* electrochemical techniques and interpretation.
* We also expect theoretical and practical experience in research in
* radical chain mechanisms,
* radical polar crossover reactions,
* photoredox and photochemical transformations,
* radical fluoroalkyation, and o organic frameworks.
