The MSL is responsible for Medical Affairs in Germany for a treatment in Ophthalmology in the post-launch phase, with potential involvement in pre-launch activities for new products. The MSL works closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Germany and follows the Brand Strategy. Responsibilities include organizing advisory boards at the national level, delivering abstracts at local congresses, and collaborating on publications and presentations with KOLs. The MSL serves as the medical expert on product content and provides scientific education to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and colleagues through presentations and training. Additionally, the MSL offers medical content and briefings for KOLs at congresses and works closely with Marketing & Sales by providing strategic insights and medical content for marketing materials and projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes. Major tasks and responsibilities (70% field): Execution of the Medical strategy plan at the country level: Mapping of disease experts and KOL insights on the product Developing links with and supporting national networks in the therapeutic area Collaborating with Market Access to ensure product access in guidelines Organizing local advisory boards (content, objectives, speakers, attendees, contracting) Creating local publications and congress posters within the product strategy Serving as the first medical contact at congresses and symposia Providing medical input for slide decks and briefing KOLs for presentations Handling medical information requests and medical presentations to HCPs Managing Investigator-Initiated Trials (IIT): approval and contracting Approving contracts for external activities with HCPs Developing medical training decks and delivering training to commercial colleagues Providing medical and strategic input on marketing projects and materials Ensuring compliance of all medical and marketing activities with pharmaceutical codes Education Qualifications: Academic degree in (bio)medical or scientific field Training in pharmaceutical compliance rules Presentation and training skills Minimum of five years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry At least two years’ experience in Medical Affairs Operational experience in pre-launch and launch activities Experience in Ophthalmology preferred Technical skills and competencies: Fluency in English High scientific expertise Strong influential skills, both internally and externally Outgoing personality, comfortable in the field Goal-oriented and strategic thinker Knowledge of Ophthalmology therapeutic area (preferred) Understanding of pharmaceutical industry codes Good collaboration with marketing and sales teams Alignment with brand strategy and project follow-up Effective teaching and presentation skills Flexibility and patience Creative mindset to challenges Accountability: Responsibility for activities and actions Execution with agility, maintaining core values Following through on decisions within timelines Learning from past mistakes Building internal networks and communicating across departments Contributing proactively to other departments’ success Seeking help when needed Focusing on overall business value Culturally sensitive and comfortable working globally Customer Centricity: Understanding and responding to stakeholder needs Developing long-term relationships Identifying opportunities and staying ahead of competition #J-18808-Ljbffr
