We are now looking for our next Sr. Director, Global QRC Training. In this role you will be pivotal in driving educational excellence and shaping the future of healthcare technology training. Your experience in medical device training, coupled with your outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills, will foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
The Academy is a central organization of 50 employees with an additional 360 trainers located in the 40 countries where the company operated. The Academy is a focused on ensuring compliance with the medical device regulations (mainly QMS and product training). I addition the academy manages all other types of training, i.e. leadership development.
The academy is a full-service provider or the full Getinge Organization organized in the Quality and Regulatory Compliance organization.
We prefer that your location is Europe based and you will report into the VP for QRC and Operational excellence.
What you will do
In this role you will lead and manage the Getinge Academy, ensuring that training programs are aligned with company goals and meet industry standards. Key responsibilities are:
1. Drive the replacement of the old Learning Management System and source/ implement a new SLMS system that leverages AI technology to drive
2. Develop and implement strategic learning initiatives to enhance employee and customer knowledge of Getinge’s medical devices and solutions.
3. Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training content to ensure it is engaging, effective, and relevant.
4. Adapt to evolving medical technologies and regulatory changes by updating training materials and methods accordingly.
5. Foster a collaborative learning environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and skills development across teams.
6. Ensure seamless coordination and communication with various departments, including sales, marketing, and product management, to deliver integrated training experiences.
7. Utilize your expertise in medical devices to drive best practices in training methodologies and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

You will bring
10. Proficient in e-learning platforms, instructional design, and training software.
11. Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in adapting training programs to meet evolving industry needs.
12. Well-organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about continuous improvement in healthcare education.
13. Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
14. Understanding of the medical device regulations and how this translates into the tranings
15. Extensive experience in medical device training or a related field.
16. Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
17. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in the medical device industry.
18. At least 10 years of experience in training and development or educational program management.
19. Experience in leadership and People Management. Experience in leading leaders is meritous.
