Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and optimize welding procedures and processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and safety.
* Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and techniques for various manufacturing applications.
* Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective and preventative actions.
* Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices, safety procedures, and new technologies.
* Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure weldability of new product designs.
* Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
* Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements related to welding.
* Evaluate and implement new welding technologies and automation solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities.
Recommended Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) certification.
* Proven experience in welding process selection, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, codes (e.g., AWS, ASME), and standards.
* Experience with various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their applications.
* Proficiency in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods and interpretation.
Bonus Qualifications
* - Experience with automated welding processes (e.g., robotic welding, SAW, GTAW automation)
* - Familiarity with advanced NDT methods beyond basic visual inspection
* - Certification in a specific welding process or material group
* - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their application to welding operations
* - Experience with welding software for simulation or data analysis
