Expert Data Specialist
The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled data engineer with experience in GenAI or LLM applications. This role involves developing and maintaining backend services that integrate AI capabilities into various domains.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing RAG pipelines: document loaders, embeddings, vector indexing, caching, and performance tuning. Additionally, you will integrate GenAI services with enterprise systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and ensure platforms consume LLM capabilities securely and at scale.
Further duties involve collaborating with AI Solution Engineers throughout the full delivery cycle, including design, code reviews, releases, monitoring, and iterative enhancements. You will also be responsible for embedding security-by-design with the AI Security Expert and contributing to release planning and deployment automation.
Requirements:
* A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics, or equivalent.
* Experience building and integrating data-driven backend services, including demonstrated hands-on experience with GenAI or LLM applications in production.
* Proficiency in Python and a solid experience developing backend & API services.
* Proven achievements with LLM services, embeddings, and vector databases.
* Comfortable with GitLab CI/CD workflows and containerized deployments on Kubernetes.
* Security-minded and a clear communicator able to explain complex GenAI behavior to non-experts.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, and a high degree of self-motivation.
* Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in English. A good knowledge of Luxembourgish, German, or French will be considered an advantage.
