As a Supervisor, Service Engineer within the department of Siemens Energy in Amersfoort, you will operate on a global scale. Your role encompasses the commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of High Voltage Switchgear and Power Transformers, along with providing technical advice and implementing tailored solutions to meet customer needs. You will lead service work on Siemens Energy high-voltage products and manage site operations for complex projects. Additionally, you will contribute to developing new activities as part of a team, such as lifespan determination of power transformers and cable connections.
How you’ll make a difference
1. Execute and report on inspection, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
2. Perform and analyze dielectric measurements on primary and secondary high-voltage equipment.
3. Manage site operations for complex projects.
4. Oversee technical risks and ensure quality standards are met.
5. Conduct studies and assess technical specifications.
6. Gather and share knowledge about the product portfolio.
7. Manage colleagues or assembly staff (1 to 15) for installation, inspection, and/or maintenance work.
8. Advise on service work and retrofit technical solutions.
9. Develop activities that expand our portfolio in the high-voltage sector.
10. Supervise high-voltage tests in our workshop, at customer locations, or in high-voltage test laboratories (, KEMA).
11. Maintain contacts with clients, suppliers, and specialists.
What you bring
12. Completed a bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
13. Demonstrable work experience as a supervisor in international high-voltage projects.
14. Relevant work experience within the high-voltage sector, preferably gained at a manufacturer of high-voltage equipment or a network company.
15. Extensive knowledge of primary components and security philosophy.
16. Additional EHS-related training (SCC, Competent Person, etc.).
17. Knowledge and insight into laws and regulations (IEC, EN, ISO, etc.).
18. Proactive, persuasive, and communicative team player.
19. Proficiency in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing (German is an advantage).
