We're shooting this on spec to pitch the series, which if this takes off, obviously everyone will get back-pay for this shoot, so we're operating under a zero budget parameter.
This is a Comedy about failing into success. It is driven by an ensemble cast of characters whose excessive & daring shortcomings and vulnerabilities are as relatable as they are extravagant. We're looking for actors who have a strong bodily sense of physical (& metaphysical) humor. The pilot is a brief showcase of the series' style & sensibility that we are using to to pitch the show to studios & network executives. Roles
* "Eustace” Silent Intense Scholar 25 – 35: "Eustace” is a quietly focused man who is solely intent upon pursuing his various intellectual interests. His sense of what is & isn’t important and even of what’s right & wrong doesn’t always line up with every one else’s because his values are driven by what he’s giving his attention to. The wierdest thing about him is that sometimes he seems norrmal
* "Gerald” Sardonic Musical Autist 25 -35: "Gerald”’s sole interest is music, to the detriment of all else. He does not have a sense of proportion but he does sometimes have a sense of consequences, at least outside of himself for other people. Reasonable when reflecting, reckless when acting. His talent greatly overpowers his meager wisdom.
* "Sara" - Female technical Engineer 25-35: "Sara" is a frenetic & anxious technician who is obsessed with producing the best sound quality possible. Her high-strung intensity is directed by a monomaniacal focus on excellence which is ultimately borne out of a fear of frailty.
* "Thalia" 35 -65 business executive: Thalia is a woman in command of herself and her affairs. She demands the most out of herself and those around her. she runs a tight ship but knows to expect snafus & complications to arise. Not to be trifled with, she handles rough weather and calm seas with the same confident ability.
