We are looking for
two motivated Biology Technicians
to join our team and help drive laboratory operations at our mRNA research site.
Your Role
As a Technician in the mRNA Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for:
* Conducting research and development laboratory work on mRNA product candidates.
* Manufacturing and quality control of research-grade mRNA vaccines.
* Conducting expression analysis in cell culture.
* Running immunological assays on preclinical samples.
* Developing and establishing new methods and assays, including writing method descriptions and protocols.
* Documenting procedures, research results, and manufacturing data in compliance with quality standards.
What You Bring
We're looking for candidates who are passionate about biotechnology and eager to contribute to the development of mRNA vaccines. Ideal applicants will have:
* Practical experience in molecular biology techniques and laboratory operations with
* Completed vocational training as a Biological or Medical Technical Assistant (BTA or MTA) with at least 5 years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting.
* Alternatively, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in biotechnology, biology, or a related life sciences discipline with at least 2 years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting.
* Familiarity with the following laboratory and analytical methods:
* Cell culture of immortalized cell lines.
* Transfection of cultured cells using mRNA.
* Expression analysis using luminescence and western blot assays.
* ELISA-based detection of analytes.
* Basic DNA and RNA handling and molecular biology tools.
* mRNA-specific analytical methods such as concentration and integrity analysis (e.g., capillary electrophoresis).
* Proficiency in MS Office for documentation and reporting.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit, with the ability to work effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
* High level of commitment and attention to detail, combined with an independent, reliable, and flexible working style.
* Ability to document and communicate effectively in English; German language skills are a plus.
