MatriX Innovation GmbH is a frontier research institution established by PetroChina in Munich, Germany in 2025 to deepen China-Europe science and technology integration. Based on the European innovation ecosystem, and upholding the concept of “openness, integration, first-class, and result-oriented,” we focus on strategic layout in the two core fields of frontier materials and synthetic biology, carry out full-chain innovation from basic research to technology transformation, promote the co-creation and sharing of green technologies, and address global challenges.

We are recruiting key talents at multiple levels for the frontier materials team. Whether you are a strategic leader defining industry technology roadmaps, an innovative researcher deeply engaged in materials science, or a practical engineer ensuring the solid implementation of R&D concepts, we provide you with a platform to realize your value on a top international platform. Strategic Leadership and Planning: Lead major scientific research projects, formulate technology roadmaps, build and cultivate high-level teams, participate in the medium- and long-term strategic planning of the institute, and build a broad industrial and academic cooperation ecosystem.
• Research in the Field of Frontier Materials: Conduct independent or collaborative in-depth research in frontier directions such as key materials for next-generation display technologies, electronic skin, smart materials, biomimetic materials, etc., design and optimize experimental plans, overcome key scientific problems, and produce high-quality patents and other research achievements.
• Experimental Execution and Platform Operation & Maintenance: be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and capability improvement of laboratory instruments and equipment, and ensure the stable and efficient operation of the R&D platform.
• Engineering and Achievement Transformation Support: Organize and analyze experimental data, write technical reports; participate in engineering practice of pilot-scale amplification, product trial production, and transformation of technological achievements to industrialization, and provide key support for process implementation.
• Safety, Compliance, and Quality Management: Strictly implement laboratory safety operating procedures, hazardous materials management, and the requirements of the institute’s quality management system, and ensure the safety, compliance, and data integrity of R&D activities.

Educational Background: Possess a doctoral degree in materials science and engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer materials, physical chemistry, or related majors.
Candidates with Deep Experience: Have many years of scientific research or industrial experience in frontier materials-related fields, possess technical leadership, major project tackling, or independent research capabilities, and have high-impact papers, core patents, or successful technology transformation cases.
Candidates with Practical Experience: Have solid laboratory R&D experience, be proficient in experimental skills such as material synthesis, characterization testing, data analysis, and operation and maintenance of common instruments and equipment, and possess rigorous experimental execution ability and a high degree of safety awareness.
Possess a rigorous scientific attitude, outstanding problem-solving ability, good team collaboration spirit, and a strong willingness to promote technology from the laboratory to application.
