Microsoft Business Intelligence Administrator Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and growth of the Microsoft BI platform, encompassing SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI on-premises and as a service in the cloud. This administrator will also oversee the administration of Microsoft BI solutions, including high availability and clustering, backup/recovery and encryption.
Main Responsibilities:
* Operational management and expansion of the Microsoft BI platform
* Administration of Microsoft BI solutions to ensure high uptime and data integrity
* Architecture and security design with system hardening, key management, network segmentation, audits, and compliance
* Cross-functional collaboration with development teams using Terraform for infrastructure automation, Azure DevOps/Git/TFS for CI/CD pipelines, and C#, PowerShell, REST for application development
* Monitoring (Azure Log Analytics, Splunk), key performance indicators, and alerting mechanisms, along with capacity planning and cost optimization
* Provisioning data engineering and analytics tools, offering self-service support, second-level technical assistance, and serving as the primary technical point of contact
Key Skills:
* Strong experience with Microsoft BI platforms
* Familiarity with database management systems like SQL Server
* Expertise in data integration and ETL processes
* Proficiency in scripting languages like C# and PowerShell
