Your tasks: Promoting a future-oriented architecture for our geodatabase and developing and optimizing innovative data structures for spatial information (PostgreSQL/PostGIS) Defining, establishing, and optimizing quality standards for the precise collection and management of specialist data sets. Preparing specialist data sets, collecting and maintaining metadata, integrating it into the city-wide GDI. Capturing and modeling geodata for spatial planning. Designing and implementing data migration strategies for transferring historical and analog data sets to the 2D/3D geodata infrastructure. Further development of the geodata infrastructure as a component of the internal digitization strategy. Planning and implementation of GIS projects in urban planning processes. Performing complex geodata analyses and spatial modeling, and preparing the results in meaningful visualizations. Implementing user-centered web applications, integrating new geodata sources into the existing WebGIS system (QGIS Server, UMN MapServer, and Mapbender). Your profile: Completed degree (at least a diploma/bachelor's degree) or completed further training that qualifies you to perform the above tasks, preferably in the field of geoinformatics, geoinformation, geodata management, geodesy, or a comparable field Several years of professional experience related to the above-mentioned area of responsibility is an advantage. In-depth knowledge of geodata processing and modeling (installation, configuration, and application of the above-mentioned GIS components, especially open source map servers, WebGIS, and DesktopGIS). In-depth knowledge of databases and models (preferably PostgreSQL/PostGIS) Experience in automating data processing using FME is an advantage Programming skills (e.g., Python, XML, HTML, YAML, and CSS) are an advantage.
