Position Summary As an Assistant General Transportation Manager, you will help lead a high‑volume, fast‑paced transportation operation within Walmart’s world‑class Supply Chain network. You’ll drive operational performance, develop strong teams, ensure safety and compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives that keep our network running efficiently and reliably. What You’ll Do Lead Operational Strategy & Performance – Develop and implement business plans to achieve facility goals related to safety, quality, service, and productivity. Monitor financial performance, track expenses against budget, and ensure effective asset utilization. Review and analyze operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and Lead Teams – Supervise and support associates and frontline leaders through performance management, coaching, feedback, and training; build a culture of belonging; identify development needs and provide opportunities for learning and growth. Drive Continuous Improvement – Support Walmart Performance System (WPS) initiatives and root cause analysis activities; implement supply chain playbooks, change management processes, and improvement plans that advance operational excellence. Engage With Community & Partners – Serve as a facility representative in community outreach and company‑sponsored initiatives; build strong relationships with cross‑functional partners. Salary and Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $116,000.00 – $174,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field and 2 years’ experience in a senior management role within an operations, distribution, supply chain, or retail environment OR 4 years’ experience in a senior management role as an operations, distribution, supply chain, or retail environment.
