A Snapshot of Your Day Promised: It won’t be boring! Your day begins with a new arbitration case in Asia. Together with colleagues from the operational business you analyze the relevant facts, the contractual background and the opportunities. Next, you focus on a pending litigation somewhere in Europe or South America, reviewing pleadings for an upcoming court hearing, talking to a technical expert, assessing the legal risks and strategic options. In the afternoon, you prepare a briefing to management and coordinate with colleagues from accounting on financial topics.
How You’ll Make an Impact
7. Proactively steer complex arbitration and litigation cases for the entire group as part of the central Litigation function of Siemens Energy.
8. Develop and implement the right strategy to master business and litigation challenges by thinking entrepreneurial.
9. Ensure accurate and focused reporting of global litigation risks to stakeholders (top and senior management, auditors, accounting).
10. Manage, control and coordinate outside counsel with a cost-quality mind.
11. Drive process optimization and litigation governance group wide.
12. Collaborate closely within the global Legal and Compliance community, business and accounting.
What You Bring
13. Fully qualified lawyer (1st and 2nd German State Exam or equivalent international degree).
14. Longstanding relevant professional experience with a proven track record of successfully managing complex litigations and arbitrations.
15. Ability to think strategically, to take and defend decisions and to reduce complex matters to simple messages.
16. Willingness to dive deep into complex technical matters.
17. Capability to manage multiple stakeholders.
18. Good communications skills coupled with intercultural sensitivity and competence as well as excellent language skills in English and fluent in German, further languages welcome.
