The Department of Electrical Energy Storage is looking for a student to join the team as soon as possible. The aim of the master's thesis to optimize the performance of an automated setup for the recycling of battery materials.
What you will do
The following steps are to be carried out:
* Production and characterization of electrodes
* Evaluation of the performance of an automated system for the recovery of CRM using those electrodes
* Design and evaluation of measures to increase the performance of the system by various means (stacking of electrodes, variation of system parameters, optimization of hardware setup
The work is part of a project to scale up the recovery of critical raw materials from battery wastewater. The thesis can be written in either German or English (according to the respective examination regulations).
What you bring to the table
* Enrolled student specializing in chemistry, materials science, production engineering or a comparable degree program
* Extensive practical experience with laboratory work
* Ideally previous knowledge in the field of electrochemistry or battery research
* Personal motivation, strong communication skills, reliability, ability to work in a team and an independent way of working
* Very good knowledge of German or English
