Your tasks
10. In your new role, you will be responsible for the veterinary care and medical treatment of laboratory animals (e.g., mice, rats, dogs, and pigs) within the framework of preclinical research projects. This includes the independent planning and execution of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
11. They conduct internal consultations and perform surgical procedures independently or support them in our modernly equipped operating and practice rooms.
12. Furthermore, they advise those conducting experiments on all veterinary medicine-related issues – especially on analgesia, anesthesia and surgical methods.
13. Another key aspect of your work is the implementation of preventative measures as well as ensuring, monitoring and documenting a high standard of hygiene in animal husbandry.
14. To ensure the continuous care of the animal population, you will participate in weekend and on-call duty.
15. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the veterinary practice's in-house pharmacy and supporting the management with organizational and process-related tasks.
Your profile
16. Completed veterinary medicine studies with recognized license to practice or valid professional permit.
17. Several years of practical experience in small animal practice
18. Solid knowledge of general anesthesia and diagnostic imaging, further training in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and anesthesia/pain management are desirable.
19. Expertise in accordance with radiation protection regulations is advantageous
20. Good German skills to ensure clear and effective communication within the team.

22. Willingness to flexibly participate in on-call, weekend and evening shifts.
