The successful applicant will have a primary focus on German onshore wind projects within the broader Northern Europe onshore wind market. You will be working in close collaboration with your German colleagues and our Northern Europe team and colleagues around the globe to provide onshore wind energy analytics, engineering and consulting services.

You will be involved in services supporting the planning, development, construction, and operation phases of wind farm projects. Our projects in the local unit vary across services such as wind resource assessments, energy production assessments, technical and/or commercial studies, technical due diligence, bankability reviews, construction monitoring, qualification of new technologies, and more.

The role will be focused for the better part on assessment of energy production of wind farms according to DNV’s quality standards as accredited service considering the guideline FGW TR6. The work involves tasks in the field of meteorology and wind farm production with automation of, analysis of large data sets, service development, leading to wind resource and energy production assessments for onshore wind projects. The role could also include involvement in development assignments, technical due diligence assignments, strategic advisory assignments, specific individual solutions to complex problems, involvement in strategic research and development projects (internal and external) and support and preparation of offers, bids or participation in tender processes with complex technical tasks.

The overall purpose of the job is to support the on- and offshore wind team in its role to help DNV safeguard life, property and the environment and achieve our company vision: to be a trusted voice to tackle global transformations.


The role is permanent and based in Oldenburg, Germany.

In your work you will:

9. Participate and lead in wind data analytics projects, among others.
10. Prepare, review and consult wind resource and energy assessment reports.
11. Support customers with all project-related matters.
12. Support the preparation of offers and tenders.
13. Conduct site visits, potentially abroad.
14. Reporting in German and English language
15. Completing projects without compromising on quality.

To maximize your chances, you need:

16. Ability to work effectively within a consultancy environment.
17. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
18. Fluency in English and German.
19. Strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written).
20. Excellent ability to produce clear written reports and presentations in English and German.
21. Ability to co-operate well with others; share knowledge, experience, and information; and support others in pursuit of team goals.
22. Knowledge of programming and data analysis.
23. Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field. Subjects related to onshore and/or offshore wind, renewable energy, offshore and/or maritime industry is an advantage.
