In the Center for Sensor Systems, ETI - Lehrstuhl für Analoge Schaltungstechnik und bildgebende Sensorsysteme, we are looking for a researcher as of the next possible date at the following conditions:
1. 100% = 39,83 hours
2. Pay grade 13 TV-L
3. limited for the duration of 3 years
Your tasks:
Analog circuits are the backbone of our relationship between the natural world and digital Information systems. Our research group is interested in two of these relationships - Digital Cameras (CMOS image sensors) and Artificial Intelligent (AI) systems. We design application-specific image sensors with AI for biomedical and industrial applications. We are looking for new graduate students or postdoctoral fellows to conduct research studies on these interesting areas. The hired students/postdocs will work in an international group at the cross-cutting area between health applications, camera technology, business processes and AI. Your tasks would include
4. Design, build and test Silicon/Amorphous Silicon circuits for imaging and intelligence
5. Design digital cameras and other image processing systems
6. Manage own research and administrative activities
7. Contribute ideas for new research activities
8. Write reports and papers and present them in conferences
9. Supervision of student work (bachelor's, master's, project theses) within the scope of the project
10. Teaching commitment: 4 hours of teaching per week
Your profile:
11. Master’s degree or PhD in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering/ Informatics/Physics or related disciplines
12. Intention to graduate as Doctor in Engineering or to habilitate in Engineering for Postdocs
13. Experience of CMOS Circuits or nanosystems fabrication in cleanroom
14. Experience/ training of using one or more of Cadence, Synospis, Matlab or Comsol
15. Education in modules in CMOS IC Design or nano-systems
16. Very good skills in written and spoken English
17. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
18. Ambition for research and thirst of knowledge
