Role Overview
As a Regional Project Engineer for Construction, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supervising construction projects across multiple sites in Europe. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and contractual standards. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Quality Assurance
* Oversee construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Monitor progress and proactively address issues to maintain timelines and minimize risks.
2. Documentation & Contract Compliance
* Prepare and review project documentation, including information requests, quotations, and change orders.
* Ensure adherence to contract terms and maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Cost Control & Financial Oversight
* Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and calculate additional expenses as needed.
* Support negotiations with contractors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
* Review and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project progress.
4. Technical Support & Reporting
* Provide technical guidance to project managers and assist in resolving engineering challenges.
* Prepare status reports detailing project costs, timelines, and completion milestones for senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
* Strong knowledge of construction technology and large-scale project execution.
* Proven experience in project management, risk assessment, and conflict resolution.
* Ability to represent the client professionally in negotiations and stakeholder interactions.
Technical Skills
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD is desirable.
Soft Skills
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage diverse teams.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
Language & Travel
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
* Willingness to travel internationally as required.
