Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Product Designer - (Logistics, Rider) to join the Rider Product Design Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
In this role, we focus on building tools to enhance the experience for both riders and the global operations staff that recruit, plan, manage, and optimize fleets of those delivery workers at scale and on our journey. Our goal is to continuously deliver exceptional experiences as we scale and strive for excellence.
As a Product Designer on the Rider design team, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, fellow Designers, Researchers, and Product Analysts. You will be involved in the full product development cycle, from brainstorming product innovations to conducting usability testing and research sessions, with the aim of delivering value and creating impactful experiences for our users.
In our Logistics Team, you’ll tackle high-impact challenges that make last-mile delivery efficient, affordable, and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders, end customers, and merchants across the globe. Each enhancement you contribute will help Delivery Hero optimize delivery operations, supporting expansion into new areas like grocery and retail.
* Execute across all phases of design work: participate in research, define conceptual foundation for design solutions, execute excellent UX flows, apply visual design systems, prototype using a variety of tools and methods, create production ready designs, conduct usability testing and support multi-disciplinary teams during implementation.
* Contribute to the creation of outstanding experiences, incorporating best practices in UX and creating solid, engaging UX and UI patterns.
* Incorporate data analysis and feedback through testing to validate concepts and experience paradigms; Establish and leverage UX metrics to better inform your decisions.
* Ensure that the quality of implementation meets design requirements.
* Bring narrative of user needs and build empathy for users across the cross-functional teams
* Adapt processes as necessary to foster a strong collaboration within your cross-functional teams. Collaborate with peers in other design teams. Manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Qualifications
* 2-3 years of hands-on experience in UX/Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field — including internships or junior roles. A portfolio that highlights your design process, decision-making, and impact is essential.
* Capable of conducting user research such as interviews, usability tests, or surveys. Able to leverage qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
* Ability to communicate design ideas clearly and explain the “why” behind your work to peers and stakeholders — especially through storytelling, flows, or wireframes.
* Some experience designing for web and mobile applications. Proficient in Figma for both design work and collaboration.
* Exposure to working with product managers and engineers in agile or iterative product environments. Open to feedback and receptive to team input.
* Strong time management and prioritization skills. Able to work independently with guidance when needed. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
* Experience working with Design systems
Nice to have:
* Experience with Motion Design and Illustration
* Experience working with B2B projects, or designing internal tools
