Our client—a dynamic and fast-scaling tech company at the cutting edge of electric aviation—is driving the future of urban transportation with their advanced aircraft. With over a decade of trailblazing achievements, including the first-ever crewed flight of a fully electric multicopter, they are now expanding their finance team and looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Accounting & Controlling Manager to join their mission.
Responsibilities
* Oversee accounting, cost control, payroll, and transactional finance (AP/AR) processes
* Lead the financial planning and budgeting cycle
* Implement cost analysis frameworks and optimize financial performance
* Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis tools that support executive decision-making
* Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and relevant legal frameworks, including SOX
* Supervise liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and treasury operations
* Coordinate external audits and manage interactions with auditors
* Lead ERP upgrades and financial system improvements (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)
* Collaborate with other departments and international finance stakeholders
* Track and implement changes in accounting legislation (IFRS, HGB) as applicable to Germany
* Mentor and guide the finance team, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability
* Report key financial metrics and trends to senior leadership
Requirements
* Certified Bilanzbuchhalter or an equivalent international qualification
* University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling
* Fluent in both German and English
* In-depth knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP (HGB)
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* Excellent skills in Excel and other financial management tools
* Prior exposure to SOX or similar regulatory environments is advantageous
* 7+ years of progressive accounting/controlling experience, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting
* Background in cost accounting and financial planning in a production-driven context
* Proven ability to lead finance teams and streamline processes in dynamic work environments
