Your role involves creating scalable, modular systems that integrate optical models, numerical algorithms, and high-performance computing infrastructure. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative solutions that enable the production of smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient microchips.
Responsibilities:
* Design and enhance the architecture of virtual measurement processes and data pipelines
* Bridge mathematical-optical models, algorithms, and computing infrastructure through modular design
* Collaborate with algorithm developers, system engineers, and simulation experts
* Ensure scalable, maintainable architecture for high-end microscopes
* Stay updated with the latest technological developments and expand your professional network
Qualifications:
* Degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or related field (PhD preferred)
* Strong knowledge in optical/physical simulations, image processing, and numerics
* 5-10 years in scientific computing and software engineering
* At least 3 years as a software architect
* Programming experience with Python, Matlab, or C++, including parallel computing
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Proficiency in English and German
