As Interim Director of Solution Delivery (freelance), you will take on end-to-end responsibility for the successful development and delivery of cutting-edge XR software solutions for our top clients in the life sciences sector. In this role, you will ensure operational excellence in our tech delivery teams, enforce the highest quality standards, and consistently exceed client expectations.
You will lead and grow a team of project managers and act as the critical link between software delivery, client-facing stakeholders, and executive leadership. Acting as a hands-on leader, you will provide both strategic direction and operational guidance while building strong client relationships and ensuring that our delivery processes are scalable, reliable, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure excellence in delivering client-specific XR projects that meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
* Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing project management team.
* Oversee delivery processes, reviews, and follow-ups in a structured and hands-on manner.
* Collaborate closely with development, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
* Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development to strengthen the function long term.
* Prepare and ensure a smooth handover to the incoming permanent Director of Client Solution Delivery.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in project or program management within software development, technology, or digital transformation, or a background in a top-tier strategy consulting firm at Project Leader / Engagement Manager level or higher; experience in the tech industry or life sciences is a strong plus.
* Structured, reliable, and quality- and excellence-driven, with strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including with executive leadership and clients.
* Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach.
Framework Conditions
* Type: Freelance interim assignment.
* Location: Freiburg, 1–2 days a week on site would be great.
