The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing large clinical cohorts and experimental models to uncover disease mechanisms and identify new biomarkers using machine learning methods and integration of proteomics, metabolomics, and genomics/transcriptomics data.
Key responsibilities include:
* Integration of multi-omics data and conducting advanced statistical analyses in ongoing and new projects on metabolic disorders
* Development and application of machine learning models for biomarker identification, patient stratification, and prediction of disease courses
* Collaboration with clinicians, bioinformaticians, system biologists, and experimental researchers in a strongly interdisciplinary environment
* Publishing research results in high-ranking scientific journals and presenting at national and international conferences
* Co-supervision of PhD students and junior researchers
Requirements:
* PhD in bioinformatics, systems biology, biostatistics, or a related field (obtained after 2020)
