As part of a long-term growth strategy, our client, a well-established player in the investment / real estate sector, is planning to strengthen its team by recruiting an Accountant to support a portfolio of Luxembourg SPVs.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the finance team and working closely with management, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Daily accounting for Luxembourg SPVs
* Monthly and quarterly closings when required
* Assisting in the preparation of Luxembourg statutory annual accounts
* Preparation of interim and management accounts when required
* Assisting with annual closing processes and regulatory reporting (ECDF)
* Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns and annual tax declarations
* Cash, bank and intercompany reconciliations
* Monitoring SPV bank accounts and Borrower Debt Service Accounts
* Monitoring and managing invoices
* Preparing payments and intercompany recharges between Luxembourg entities
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly interest statements for borrowers
* Performing ad hoc accounting and finance-related tasks
Profile & Experience
* Degree in Accounting or a related field
* 2–3 years of experience in industry or within an administration/service company in Luxembourg
* Experience in debt investments is preferred
* Real estate accounting exposure is an advantage
* Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP is a significant asset
* Fluent in English (any additional language is a plus)
* Working knowledge of accounting software (eFront is an advantage)
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
