Our client is a growing and internationally active private markets investor, seeking an experienced Investment Manager to strengthen its European investment team. This role offers broad exposure across the European private equity landscape, spanning fund commitments, secondaries, and selective co-investments. The position combines analytical depth with strategic input, providing opportunities for both independent work and leadership within a collaborative team.
Job Description
* Investment Sourcing & Execution - Identify and assess opportunities across primary fund investments, secondaries, and co-investments. Take a lead role in driving transaction processes, from initial evaluation through to closing.
* Due Diligence & Analysis - Perform comprehensive due diligence on fund managers and direct opportunities. Build financial models, evaluate investment theses, and prepare decision-making materials.
* Portfolio Oversight - Support ongoing management of the investment portfolio including performance tracking, liquidity planning, and internal reporting.
* Stakeholder Engagement - Maintain regular contact with investment partners, including fund managers and co-investors. Assist in crafting investor communications, supporting capital raising and relationship management.
* Team Development - Mentor growing professionals and contribute to the development of internal processes and knowledge-sharing within the team.
The Successful Applicant
* 8+ years of relevant experience in the manager selection of private equity funds
* Proven track record of fund investing. secondaries; and co-investment experience is a plus
* Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and research capabilities
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and operate autonomously
* Willing to travel within Europe
* Fluent in German and English
* Comfortable in a lean, fast-paced environment with high standards for output and professionalism
