Head of Global Product Management (m/f/d)
Key Roles And Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and coordinate a global team of Product Line Managers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
* Establish clear goals, KPIs, and development plans for the Product Management organization.
* Champion a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
Product Portfolio Strategy & Lifecycle Ownership
* Define and oversee the complete global product strategy across all categories.
* Ensure the team manages the full product lifecycle, including
* Range development
* New applications
* Deletions & supersessions
* Packaging & cataloguing
* Lifecycle profitability management
* Align product strategy with global business objectives and market requirements.
Business Performance & P&L Contribution
* Drive achievement of revenue and margin targets across all product lines.
* Build and validate business cases for new business opportunities, range expansions, and new product introductions.
* Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
* Ensure seamless interaction between Product Management and Data Management, Packaging, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality to support efficient New Product Introductions and portfolio management.
* Lead cross-functional coordination to ensure processes are followed, deliverables are aligned, and execution supports the business plan.
* Collaborate closely with Sales to support customer engagements and identify new revenue opportunities.
Market, Competitor & Pricing Strategy
* Evaluate global competitive positioning to identify portfolio gaps, risks, and growth opportunities.
* Direct the development of pricing strategies in collaboration with PLMs, the Pricing Manager, and Sales representatives.
* Partner with Aftermarket Marketing to ensure strong product positioning, messaging, and communication throughout the entire lifecycle.
Commercial Support & Global Enablement
* Support country organizations with technical training, product introductions, and sales enablement.
* Provide product presentations, technical literature, launch materials, and tools to strengthen customer-facing activities.
Job Requirements And Qualifications
* Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or comparable technical discipline.
* Several years of proven leadership experience managing Product Management teams in the Automotive Aftermarket.
* Deep understanding of aftermarket product dynamics, customer behaviour, and commercial drivers.
* Strong business acumen with solid knowledge of economics and portfolio profitability management.
* Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
* Analytical, assertive, and results-driven with the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
* Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and drive multiple initiatives under pressure.
* Effective in a matrix organization, with the ability to build strong internal networks.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English; other languages are an advantage.
