To further develop our innovative product, we are currently looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer (m/f/d).
About the job
As a SeniorFullstack Developer, with a special focus on architecture, you’ll play a central role in guiding our most important technology initiatives and contributing from planning through implementation to monitoring in operation. Over the next years, we will:
1. Implement highest security standards for digital health applications to meet the different regulatory requirements for data protection and medical software compliance (e.g. BSI-TR 03161, DIGAV, MDR)
2. Modernize and modularise our existing system, moving towards scalable and flexible architectures
3. Containerize and migrate our cloud, ensuring flexibility and global reach
4. Grow our systems internationally, supporting patients across multiple markets
What You’ll Do
5. Architect the future: design and implement secure, scalable web and mobile platforms, aligned with compliance (MDR, DIGAV, BSI) and long-term maintainability.
Drive modernization: lead the transition from a monolithic system to modular, containerized, cloud-native services.
6. Build and optimize: develop high-quality code (TypeScript, Nestjs, Angular, Java for Android, Swift for iOS), optimize NoSQL databases, and lead major refactorings.
7. Enable smooth delivery: co-develop CI/CD pipelines, foster automated testing on different levels, improve monitoring and logging, and ensure resilient deployments
8. Mentor and elevate the team: guide developers, set engineering standards, and foster knowledge sharing.
9. Partner cross-functionally: translate product and business requirements into technical solutions in close collaboration with our cross-functional teams
10. Shape the roadmap: contribute to our technology strategy and ensure it aligns with company goals.
What You Bring
11. Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent qualification
12. Multiple years of professional software engineering experience, including architecting and scaling complex systems.
13. Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, Angular (or similar), and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).
14. Proven track record with cloud-native architectures (AWS), E2E-testing (Playwright), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
15. Experience working with legacy systems and modernizing them into modular, scalable solutions.
16. Strong knowledge of secure software development and ideally exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, finance).
17. Very good communication and lateral leadership skills in international, cross-functional teams.
18. Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to make sound architectural decisions and drive initiatives forward independently while aligning with team and company goals.
19. Proven ability to mentor and inspire others, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence across cross-functional teams.
20. Language proficiency in English, German is a plus
