In this role, you will play a key part in driving value and usability within an agile environment by designing intuitive, functional solutions tailored to the needs of highly specialized technical users. You will work closely with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to create powerful and efficient tools that meaningfully improve the daily workflows of our engineering experts. Your contributions will directly support the development of solutions that balance usability, technical feasibility, and business goals. As a UX/UI Designer, your focus will be on driving value and usability within our agile team by: Design Execution: Translating validated user needs into clean, functional UI designs. This includes implementing, maintaining, and extending the existing design system to ensure consistency and scalability. Discovery & Validation: Championing a discovery-first mindset by continuously questioning assumptions, asking why something is being built, and conducting the necessary validation to identify and address the underlying problem. Agile Collaboration: Working within SAFe and Scrum frameworks to plan, track, and communicate tasks and progress, using tools such as Azure DevOps. Team Collaboration: Partnering closely with developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions align with technical constraints and business objectives. The ideal candidate brings the following experience and capabilities: Foundational UX/UI Expertise: A strong practical understanding of core UX/UI principles, including information architecture, visual hierarchy, consistency, and usability heuristics, to deliver intuitive and effective interfaces. Discovery Mindset: Proven ability to focus on the problem space, prioritize user value, and adapt design approaches to meet the specific requirements of engineering workflows. Domain Context: Demonstrated experience designing complex, specialized applications—particularly engineering or design tools such as CAD or 3D applications—and a solid understanding of workflows in highly technical environments. Proficiency in Figma: Confident use of Figma as the primary tool for wireframing and UI design.
