Key job responsibilities
- Drive core accounting operations, including month-end closing, financial reporting, and the management of external audits across multiple frameworks with accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Transform accounting data into actionable insights that drive innovation.
- Identify, develop, and implement scalable process improvements using automation and AI-powered tools.
- Collaborate globally with internal Accounting, Finance, and Technology teams, external business partners, and other departments such as Tax and Legal.
- Lead and deliver complex, large-scale projects in a fast-moving, international, high-growth environment.
- Continuously enhance your skills by working with advanced finance technologies and global best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and HGB.
- Extensive experience in leading end-to-end accounting cycles, managing audits, and navigating multi-jurisdictional reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms; leveraging automation tools and AI to improve processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to turn accounting data into actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams
- Fluent German and English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with advanced finance technologies, AI-driven analytics, and process automation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional accounting certification
