Responsibilities
1. Lead the definition and management of vehicle-level software system architectures, aligned with legal, functional, and user-centric requirements
2. Ensure that software-driven systems (e.G., ADAS, HMI, body electronics, diagnostics) meet all applicable European regulations (e.G., UNECE, GDPR, GSR)
3. Translate customer expectations and OEM targets into concrete software system and interface specifications
4. Align cross-domain functions and software requirements within the vehicle E/E architecture
5. Conduct system validation to verify legal and customer-related compliance (e.G., feature behavior, fault tolerance, traceability)
6. Contribute to safety and cybersecurity activities in accordance with European regulations
7. Coordinate benchmarking and market analysis of software-driven features and architectures in the European context
8. Act as a technical partner for system architects, developers, validation and regulatory experts
Qualifications
1. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent
2. 10+ years of experience in software systems engineering, function integration, or E/E architecture
3. Deep understanding of European automotive legislation and compliance topics (e.G., GSR, R155/R156, GDPR)
4. Experience in requirements engineering, system modeling, and vehicle function design
5. Familiar with AUTOSAR, CAN/Ethernet communication, and diagnostics protocols (UDS, ODX)
6. Strong analytical thinking, a sense for regulatory detail, and structured documentation
7. Ability to communicate effectively between developers, regulatory bodies, and validation teams
8. Fluent written and spoken English (report language);
German or Chinese skills are a plus
9. Willingness to travel
