MacGregor Black are partnering with a Leading FMCG Business on the search for a European Head of Sales. This is a full-time remote position based in Germany.
Leading a team of commercial colleagues based in both the UK and Germany, this role requires an individual who is fluent in German and English. The successful candidate will have experience combining strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution, ensuring long-term growth and operational excellence. Reporting to the European Managing Director, the position offers flexibility through home-based/remote working, with regular travel across Europe.
Responsibilities
* Define and deliver the commercial strategy for the UK and German markets across branded and own-label chilled and frozen categories
* Lead and manage the sales team across both markets, ensuring alignment and delivery of business objectives
* Drive growth across grocery retail, discounters, and foodservice channels, building strong senior-level customer relationships
* Balance strategic oversight with operational involvement, remaining hands-on in the commercial detail
* Work cross-functionally with supply chain, marketing, and NPD to align sales initiatives with business priorities
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decision-making
What We're Looking For
* Proven track record in senior sales leadership within chilled and frozen food categories
* Strong experience across both branded and own-label portfolios in the UK and German markets
* Established network and demonstrable success in managing major grocery, discounter, and foodservice customers
* Experience leading and motivating cross-country commercial teams, with a collaborative and empowering leadership style
* Ability to combine strategic vision with operational execution, maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
* Commercially astute, results-driven, and adaptable with a passion for driving growth
* Fluency in both English and German, with the ability to operate confidently at a senior commercial level across both markets
