The Opportunity
This position is in our division Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
Your Tasks:
* Achieving sales and market share targets and driving profitable growth in a relevant business
* Leading, developing, and coaching a high performing sales team of Regional Sales Managers in the German market
* Developing and managing relationships with high profile customers, accounts, and opinion leaders
* Representing the business at key internal and external events and at national and international business reviews
* Successfully developing and implementing strategies for country product launches
* Monitoring, analyzing, reporting on competitors’ products and strategies, and driving appropriate business responses
* Developing sales strategies and tactics and driving successful execution
* Cost center management according to plan and guidelines
* Anticipating healthcare market developments
Your Qualifications:
* Postgraduate diploma or university degree with on-the-job business exposure
* Proven track record of successful leadership over several years
* Experience in sales analysis and strategic sales approaches
* Experience in strategy development, tactics implementation, and execution
* Experience in P&L management, forecasting, and cost center management
* Good personal and professional discipline and balance
* Excellent language skills in German and English (written and spoken)
