About the Company
Be responsible for the end-to-end design management of Xiaomi's direct-operated stores in Europe (including flagship stores and standard stores). This covers the entire process from conceptual design development and brand SI (Store Image) standard formulation to construction drawing review and on-site acceptance. Ensure that design outcomes are highly aligned with Xiaomi's brand tone and convey the core brand values.
About the Role
Take the lead in building the design standard system for European stores, covering core modules such as spatial functional layout, material selection specifications, and digital display solutions. Continuously iterate and optimize the system based on market feedback and business needs to balance consistency and flexibility in store design.
Responsibilities
* Oversee cost and schedule management for store design projects, implement a quota-based design mechanism, and strictly control material selection and prototype sampling quality.
* Coordinate cooperation processes with suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, balancing design aesthetics with commercial feasibility.
* Lead cross-departmental collaboration: align design concepts with the global design team, coordinate requirements from engineering, marketing, and sales departments, and deeply integrate product display logic and user experience flow into store design to achieve the goal of "design serving business".
* Track cutting-edge trends in European retail space design, with a focus on innovative directions such as smart interactive devices and sustainable eco-friendly materials.
* Promote the integration of design concepts and technologies, while accumulating project experience to form reusable design methodologies.
* Manage the design team (including local designers): be responsible for task allocation, professional skills training, and performance implementation for team members.
* Build an efficient and collaborative design team to support the store expansion plan in the European region.
Qualifications
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or above in Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Art Design, or related fields. Overseas study experience is preferred, with familiarity with international design concepts and industry standards.
Required Skills
* Work Experience:
* At least 8 years of experience in commercial space design, with a minimum of 5 years in high-end retail store design (automotive, 3C, or luxury goods sectors preferred). Candidates with high-end automotive store design experience will be given priority.
* At least 3 years of experience in design team management, having led at least 2 regional-level store design system development projects and capable of independently overseeing the parallel advancement of multiple projects.
* * Professional Skills:
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3ds Max, with the ability to independently complete design proposal output and construction drawing review.
* Familiarity with local European building codes, fire safety standards, and relevant regulations for retail space design to ensure design proposals comply with local compliance requirements.
* * Comprehensive Abilities:
* Capability to build brand SI systems, with the ability to balance design aesthetics and commercial feasibility while considering user experience and operational efficiency.
* Strong project management skills, proficient in cost control, schedule management, and quality assurance.
* Excellent cross-cultural communication and resource coordination skills, capable of efficiently connecting with collaborators from different countries and departments.
* * Language Proficiency: Fluent English (working language); basic German proficiency is a plus for better adaptation to the local work environment in Munich.
