Frankfurt International School in Oberursel is looking for an organized, engaged and motivated Elementary School Administrative Assistant (part-time, 50%) effective 1 March 2026. The position holder is expected to assure a smooth and efficient operation of the elementary school office to enable positive interactions for all students and to support staff and parents. Skills required: Organization and attention to detail Computer skills (Google suite and Veracross) Interpersonal skills (clear communication, approachable) Proficiency in English/German preferred Performance Responsibilities: The duties of the position will include but will not be limited to those on the list which follows: - Attendance Responsibilities Daily supervision and recording in Veracross of Grade 2 - Grade 5 student attendance. Communication with teachers and parents regarding excused/unexcused absences. Recording of faculty and staff attendance in preparation for the substitute payroll. - Organize Substitute Teachers Act as a single point of contact for substitute teachers. They will confirm teachers have coverage via Schrole for Personal Days, Special Leave, absences and Inhouse Professional Development. They will produce the sub report for Personnel. Teachers will be using Schrole to book substitutes. However, they will make last minute arrangements should a position be unfilled. Ensure substitutes have keys and teaching plans upon arrival at school. - Be a point of contact for parent requests, teacher and student needs between 7:30 until noon during school days.
