Lead Information Security Officer — Data & AI
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Lead Information Security Officer to support and strengthen the governance and compliance landscape across Data & AI in a large, global enterprise environment. This role sits within the central Information Security Office, working closely with the existing LISO, CISO, senior leadership, and technical delivery groups. It is a highly visible position engaging with VP, CVP, AVP, and Executive-level stakeholders, with direct reporting into the Chief Information Security Officer for the group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Drive governance, risk, and compliance topics linked to data platforms, AI solutions, and cloud environments
* Operationalise and embed the established CISO strategy within the Data & Analytics organisation
* Support oversight activities related to regulatory, corporate, and industry security requirements
* Work closely with the existing LISO and wider infosec community to align processes, controls, and reporting
* Participate in annual security leadership reviews, panel discussions, and internal governance boards
* Act as a security advisor across Data & AI teams, translating technical risks into clear business impacts for non-technical leaders
* Engage with steering committees across security, compliance, and technology
* Collaborate with a technical security specialist supporting hands-on cloud and security build work
* Lead through influence and coordination, guiding two supporting roles — a technical security specialist and an internal implementation and process coordinator
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
* Strong grounding in information security principles, cloud security concepts, and governance and compliance frameworks
* Ability to understand and discuss technical cloud implementations at a meaningful level
* Confidence communicating with senior executives and translating complex risk topics into clear, actionable insights
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Comfortable navigating large, global organisational structures
Desirable
* Experience working in large, structured enterprise environments
* Consulting background with comfort operating in permanent, process-driven organisations
* Legal or compliance experience with a strong technical affinity
Candidate Profile
* Leads through influence and coordination rather than hierarchy
* Confident engaging at executive level without relying on large direct-report structures
* Able to bridge the gap between technical risk and business decision-making
* Comfortable operating across multiple business units in a complex, global environment
