Product Engineer - Child Safety (m/f/d)

Your seat to fill:
1. Develop and mechanically design technical consumer products with a focus on child car seats – from concept phase through to start of production
2. Design and modify product components and assemblies in line with functional and quality requirements
3. Create and maintain technical documentation for existing and future products for internal and external stakeholders
4. Translate requirements into technical specifications while ensuring clarity and feasibility
5. Develop innovative mechanical solutions and visualize ideas through hand sketches
6. Support prototype construction and actively contribute to the validation process
7. Create and configure 3D-printed parts for prototyping and design verification
Your stroll to CYBEX:
8. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development or a comparable field, combined with several years of experience in the development of technical consumer products – ideally within child safety or automotive accessories
9. Strong experience in mechanical design – from concept development through to start of production (SOP), including modifications of components and assemblies
10. Very good knowledge of PTC Creo (3D CAD) and Windchill (PLM) for data and release management
11. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances (e.g. injection molding, metal forming, assembly concepts)
12. Ability to translate requirements into technical specifications and create and maintain technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, specifications)
13. Hands-on experience in prototype construction and 3D printing
14. Team player with strong communication skills, reliability, and a structured, solution-oriented working style
15. Fluent in German and English
