Your role
As a trainee German Translator you will:
1. translate texts from English into German;
2. revise and proofread texts in German;
3. identify, extract and compile terminology, particularly in the fields of economics and finance;
4. contribute to other responsibilities of the German team, such as maintaining translation memories and providing linguistic advice.

Qualifications, experience and skills
Essential:
5. a bachelor’s degree or higher in modern languages or translation;
6. familiarity with using computer-assisted translation tools;
7. a good knowledge of the MS Office package;
8. a mastery-level (C2) command of German and an advanced (C1) command of English, according to the .
Desired:
9. a master’s degree (completed or in the final stages of completion) in modern languages or translation;
10. experience in translating English texts into German;
11. an intermediate (B1) command of another official EU language;
12. an interest in financial and economic affairs.
