About our client
Our client is a portfoliopany in Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) and Engineering for sustainable buildings, backed by a leading mid-market private equity firm. The firm has a clear investment thesis and a proven playbook centred around consolidation and operational enhancement in this fragmented, regulation-driven market. They are now looking to appoint a Buy-in CEO to lead the German part of the business through its inception and guide it through the next stage of growth, including a significant buy-and-build strategy.
This is a unique opportunity for amercially driven and operationally capable CEO to take on ownership, partner closely with an experienced investor. What the job involves
* Execute on a proven playbook roadmap to grow the business
* Lead M&A activity from origination through to integration, with support and strong backing from the PE sponsor
* Build and develop a high-performing leadership team to support scale and transformation
* Drive operational excellence, improving systems, processes, service delivery and profitability
* Represent the German part of the business externally and internally, building strong relationships with customers, regulators, advisors and stakeholders
* Report to the board and sponsor, maintaining transparency and alignment with the value creation plan
* Invest alongside the private equity sponsor and act as a true owner-operator
Who we are looking for
* Proven experience as CEO in a PE-backed or entrepreneurial business in an adjacent B2B services sector. Alternatively, actively involved investment professional looking to step up into a general management role
* The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of strong experience in areas relating to certification and engineering of sustainable buildings
* Track record of successful M&A execution and integration, preferably in a buy-and-build context
* Operationally hands-on, capable of building structure and discipline in a growing business
* Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to scale a business sustainably
* Strategic thinker, able to persuade through evidence-based conviction
* Excellent interpersonal skills with fluent English and German language skills
