The BSZ provides IT-supported services for academic libraries, museums and archives, particularly in Baden-Württemberg, Saxony and Saarland. The BSZ|folio project, which is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science and the Arts, will initially involve the migration of selected pilot libraries. This will be followed by a state-wide roll-out at the university libraries in Baden-Württemberg.
FOLIO is an open source platform for library management based on a modern, service-oriented architecture. It offers developers and libraries an open environment for innovative extensions and integrations.
You will work in a dedicated team and in close coordination with the department management.

Areas of responsibility
Your tasks
* IT coordination and IT conception in the project team
* Migration from legacy systems and further development for the use of open source software at BSZ customers
* Development of the migration framework and project automation
* Further development of international open source software, development of apps
* FOLIO hosting together with the hosting partner of the BSZ, integration of AI services
Requirements profile
Your profile
* Completed scientific university degree in computer science or comparable qualification
* Experience in the administration and configuration of applications
* Good knowledge of Java, Python or similar languages
* Good knowledge of databases (preferably in PostgreSQL)
* Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics
* You have experience of working in a team, in an interdisciplinary environment and with external customers and other service providers
* Very good knowledge of German and English
