Purpose of the role
As a Key Account Manager (m/f/d), you will be working with the Sales Director International Markets to help manage and grow a portfolio of high value clients in the heart of Europe. You will act as the main point of contact between our company and our partners, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to ensure sustainable growth. In addition, you will also assist the Sales Director with seeking out, identifying and securing new business opportunities with leading retailers across central Europe.
Main Tasks
* Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
* Developing and implementing comprehensive account plans, including sales strategies, revenue targets, and growth objectives.
* Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within existing accounts, as well as prospecting for new clients.
* Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing their needs, resolving issues, and providing excellent service.
* Negotiating contracts and pricing to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
* Staying informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform sales strategies.
* Regularly reporting on account performance, sales progress, and market trends to senior management.
* Working closely with internal teams across the business to deliver optimal customer solutions.
* Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and taking corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
* Developing a deep understanding of the company's products and services to effectively address client needs.
* Adhering to company policies, sales processes, and legal requirements.
Skills and Experience
* Fluency in German & English (written and spoken), further European languages are welcome
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven sales and account management experience, preferably within the books, arts, crafts or toys industry.
* Strategic thinking and planning
* Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
* Strong negotiation and closing skills
* Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools
* Ability to work effectively with internal teams to deliver customer solutions.
