Our client, a leading institutional client, is seeking an experienced Payments Strategy Consultant to support a high-profile instant payments interlinking initiative operating across multiple corridors.
This role sits at the heart of a major cross-border retail payments programme and requires close coordination with central banks, service-providing institutions, and international instant payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support feasibility assessment and realization phases of an international instant payments interlinking initiative
* Produce market landscape and trend analysis notes covering cross-border retail payments
* Develop and maintain functional analysis documentation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
* Analyse and propose alternative functional and technical models for interlinking arrangements
* Manage customer contact grids and support structured market outreach activities
* Provide business, project, risk, change, and release management support
* Prepare reporting and materials for management and steering-level discussions
* Coordinate secretariat activities and facilitate internal governance forums
Required experience
5+ years’ experience analysing market trends and practices in cross-border retail payments
Strong exposure to international retail payment strategy frameworks and global cross-border initiatives
5+ years in market outreach, networking, and market readiness support
Proven track record supporting innovative initiatives (materials preparation, stakeholder engagement, customer base management)
Experience producing executive-level reports on market trends, pricing models, and strategic proposals.
