Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and versatile IT & Digitalization Specialist to serve as the main IT contact for the Midea Europe Research Center (MERC), based in Stuttgart. In this key role, you will manage local IT operations across all support levels (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), introduce and maintain EDP systems, support AI applications, and deliver software trainings. Working closely with international IT colleagues, you will play a vital role in driving digitalization initiatives, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring smooth cross-border IT processes. Your Responsibilities:
 * Act as the main IT contact, coordinate local IT operations and serve as liaison to the global IT team 
 * Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues 
 * Introduce and maintain EDP systems, support AI applications, and deliver software trainings
 * Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, mobile devices, and peripherals 
 * Manage user accounts and access rights (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365) 
 * Document support cases, solutions, and IT procedures 
 * Collaborate with international IT colleagues on system upgrades, rollouts, and cross-border projects 
 * Advise on and implement improvements to local IT infrastructure 
 * Drive digitalization initiatives and contribute to infrastructure optimization 
 * Support and maintain software tools used in laboratory environments 
 * Apply programming and database skills to automate tasks and integrate lab systems 
 * Help ensure IT security and compliance standards are met
Your profile
 * Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g. dual education) 
 * Solid skills in administering operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) for both clients and servers 
 * Experience with network technologies and protocols 
 * Familiar with IT tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, remote support tools) 
 * Programming experience (e.g., Python, Java) and basic database knowledge (e.g., SQL)
 * Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality
 * Ability to take ownership of local IT operations and act as a reliable point of contact 
 * Comfortable working in international teams and across cultural boundaries 
 * Interest in driving digital transformation and improving IT infrastructure 
 * Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal); Chinese and/or German is a plus 
 * Help ensure IT security and compliance standards are met
